At 32, I found myself with "dust on my wings," so to speak, and I tried desperately to figure out what I wanted to be when I grew up. While putting together invitations for our annual Halloween party, I was literally bursting with creativity and excitement. It was the same feeling I had while making my son's first and second birthday invitations.

I sent them out, heard raves about them as usual, and went back to work. I discussed with close friends and family how hard it was to look for a new job when I couldn't even define what it was I wanted to do. I had spent years as a party planner, and while I loved doing that, I wasn't interested in going back to the nights-and-weekends schedule that career demanded. I had a family now! Nothing else, however, appealed to me. I kept mentioning the invitations I'd made and how happy the process made me, and what had been so apparent all along to my family and friends began to come into focus for me.

I became excited about the idea of making that dream a reality, and within a week, had mocked up several samples and settled on a name. Things took on a life of their own, and years of pent-up creativity literally poured out of me. I couldn't sleep and put all my waking after-hours into my new adventure.

With advice and ideas from those same family and friends, I am delighted to share my creations with you. I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoy making them. Thank you for your time and for your interest.
